Surface Pen Green Light Flashing

I was just writing when i noticed that the led on the pen just started blinking for a minuet is this the low battery indicator or the pen just resynchronising. To conclude here are just a couple of additional observations. So there isn t any information that a blinking green light means anything specific which also suggests it s not normal. Press the top button on your pen for about 7 seconds until a green light flashing in the middle of your pen.

I m almost 100 sure this is a pen issue since the led won t light up regardless. If the issue persists you may have a defective pen. If the light turns on proceed with performing the steps on this link under my pen won t pair with my surface or open apps. I just bought the sp4 for my surface pro 3.

Everything works however i can t pair the device. Surface will then re discover the surface pen when you hold down the top button of the surface pen for about seven seconds until the light in the middle of the pen clip starts to flash on the original surface pen or the light on the flat side of the pen glows white on the new surface pen. Posted by 4 years ago. Ironically i actually had a surface pen in my pocket but forgot i had one with me. Try holding the top button down for seven seconds and if the pen light doesn t come on you might need to change the coin batteries as well. Holding the top button doesn t light up the led and it won t recognize by my surface.
